This was probably one of the most popular guitars of the 60s
as it started many guitarists off to a great future. Because
of the realistic price tag of £30 it made electric
guitars readily available. This one is an early 1960 model
with serial number: 1112. It is in exceptional original
condition being over 45 years old, the electronics are
working and it even plays well. Sadly, the original tremolo
arm was lost but I found a close-looking replacement and
fitted a new headstock logo. These early Rapiers had no
truss rod and a set neck but later models had a truss rod
and bolt on neck.
