Just before Gretsch USA gave up the ghost, they produced the BEAST specifically to go head to head with the Gibson Les Paul and Fender's Stratocaster and Telecaster. This one is all rock & roll with a wide range of tones from the original dual Dimarzio Super Distortion Humbuckers. The action seems impossibly low with no hint of buzzing. The mahogany body is contoured to be extremely comfortable and is surprisingly lightweight. It looks like someone tried to take a bite out of the head, there's a slight cigarette burn next to that, the silver's a little tarnished and the finish on the neck is worn down in the open chord area but it's been played for over 30 years.
