This was the first British made solid body guitar to hit the market in the late 50’s, just a couple of weeks before Watkins introduced their guitars. This two pickup 1958 model, with Henry Weill electrics, is made of solid mahogany with through neck construction, Rangemaster tremolo, original case and leather strap. This guitar was found in an attic in Wallasey and when I got it, it was in desperate need of much TLC. I have repaired and cleaned it up, fitted new strings, set it up and fitted an old-style set of Hofner knobs. A guitar just like this was found in the attic of John Lennon's home in Woolton, Liverpool, which he is purported to have owned and played.
