A Japanese guitar dating from the late 60s or early 70s, this small two pickup guitar was desperately in need of TLC when I got it but after a lot of work, including a new scratchplate (from Aurora Project), knobs and tremolo arm, it now plays exceptionally well with a sort of surfing music sound. It has a lovely roller bridge that must have been unusual for a guitar in this price range. Audition was Woolworth’s own brand name in the U.K.
